Marriott Hotel - F1 Formula
Last Thursday, my company was invited to the event
; whereby customers of Marriott Hotel gathered together for the DND night.

As one of my colleagues could not make it,
thus I was given the chance to replace her :)
It was not really crowded,
but you could see most of your competitors in the business field.

Most of the time,
I was enjoying the food and the free instant photo session.

it had been weeks since i last updated my blog.
and i havent been meeting up with anyone including my boyfriend.
guess everyone must be wondering where the hell joan have been?!

my life has been a routine ever since i started working in OCBC.
other than that - every tuesday and thursday night,
i would be waiting for my mum to finish her javanese class at malacca centre.
(and it usually ends at 9.30pm :( )

i have been obessed with writing.
guess inspiration is flooding me.

anyway, the most interesting thing that happened over these few weeks was ...
i actually cried infront of the public when i reading the ending for the book "a friend like henry".
damn silly.

i know i havent been meeting up with so many of you,
no promises that i could but i would try :)

guess i wont be attending university this year,
maybe i would wait till the next intake.
i havent break the news to my parents yet :)
as i was still thinking of my future.

sooner or later ..
something will take a change.

Being a workaholic,
i am enjoying my work though it had been increasing.

i hoped i could get into NTU :)
and suddenly i feel so frustrated with myself for not performing better.

Anyway, i got an invite to teach wushu in local school, but the invitation came too late.
Guess i would wait for some other assignments they could offer me on the weekends.

i am isolating myself, from everyone.

i havent been updating recently 'cause i have nothing to update about.

this week, i started work at OCBC centre in the HR department under Corporate XXXX (i had forgotten my post).
anyway, i am still learning more about my job scope.
guess it wouldnt be difficult :)

however, meetings are scary as it makes me fall asleep.

i just came back from my interview at NTU's,
and i guess i screwed up my interview.
80% of the time,
i dont even understand what i am saying!

the interview was ended with "All the best, I have nothing to say anymore. BYE!".
DAMN.

i was telling shuang and christian that the reason why i hate reading forwarded mails was
'cause i hate seeing how gruesome the contents would be.

however, today i accidentally opened and read one of the forwarded mails about "reminder to wash new clothes"
and trust me, i was shouting "FUCK IT" for at least 3 minutes so loud that even gabby heard me.

the next thing you know, i was trying hard to get rid of that image in my mind.
using all kinds of methods like hitting my head damn hard using both hands,
playing games (which i assumed it was exciting - bejeweled)
and so on.

ARGH.

and when i came back from work,
my parents were telling me that they saw the biggest moth they ever seen in their life.

so i uploaded the picture they took and tried zooming it,
and also tried google-ing this "amazing" insect.
and true enough (or maybe lucky enough), both of them had withnessed the world's largest moth.

though i have to race with time tonight,
i went to my sister's 21st birthday party at SMU.

well, the party was nice with the bands,
with the people,
with the food.

mabel got some drinks,
however i stopped after a few sips.
i was afraid i would be writing rubbish in my reports later in the night.

guess everybody was wondering who the hell were mabel and i related to sister.
and we were like "YES, WE ARE HER SISTER (BLOOD-RELATEEED)!"

happy belated birthday sister,
you havee been great.
though we missed out quite abit on each other's life,
but you know we all love you.

you have been a role model,
a great sister,
a great friend,
and someone whom we always have respect the most.

all these while,
i know you have been working hard.
and at times they were so much things that you wanted,
but because of dad,
they were so many restrictions.

HELLO 2008 CHINESE NEW YEAR

i love reunion dinner,
and the jokes we cracked :)

after our dinner,
we had some warm-up sessions of mahjong before felin came over.
and when i assumed that my chances of winning my siblings' money was high,
it was defeated by mark's beginner luck, mabel's and jack's experiences.

even when felin arrived,
i was still the one losing.
oh dear, i just cant gamble this chinese new year.

after the long session of mahjong,
the girls had some heart to heart talk laughing at our school days (or maybe felin's good old days),
till wee hours today.
HAHA :)

this year chinese new year is different,
cause we did not get to visit my great-grandma.

jack commented, "the complicated adult stuffs!"
and my dad corrected him,"is not the adult, it is just human begin. we just dont know how to give and take. "

anyway, we went over to my grandma's place.
and i lost 15 bucks halfway throughout the game of blackjack to my cousins (whom are all younger than me).
and the most ridiculous thing is ALL MY SIBLINGS WON MORE THAN 20 BUCKS (AVERAGEEE).
and i ended up playing with an "imaginary 50 cents" during the last few rounds when my siblings were the dealer.

when my parents "represented" the Ng family to visit my great-grandma.
i was at home rushing everybody to prepare before they came over to fetch us.
my siblings were too busy to take a proper photo with me.

it is because she is always the slowest.
and we were all waiting for her.

this is kinda awful

tml will be a long day,
and i still have 4 weekly reports, 1 final report, 1 final presentation, and 2 lufthansa reports waiting for me.

mabel and i spent the whole afternoon in the room,
with a "PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB" sign hanging outside our door.

a draft for one of our walls.

we love this so much, that we "stole" it.

art materials are found easily at my place,
as both of us were art students.

the scooter with the outline was impressive,
however after the colouring,
mabel and i were complaining how bunny it looked.

but trust me,
the real one looks MUCH better than it looked on the photos.

i had a hard time cutting out the music notes.

well well, every art piece always has its initial inspiration.
and this piece was to commemorate our past.

(my eyes seems to be shrinking.)

today, i put aside my work.
and played some games to de-stress.
played some "idiot test", beach tennis (which stated players below age16 could not play, if you are wondering why? maybe you could refer to one of the pictures below.) etc.

i was amazed by iGoogle and its themes, and i knew about it only TODAY.
after setting up everything i kept bugging christian and the girls,
asking them when my little fox (the one in the water) will move.

immediately, when it moved i was so excited.
alright, it is just joan being so joanie.

i miss him,
and the thought of him leaving for Taiwan next week just KILLED me.
